  • Beginner Open Class

This class is suitable if you have no previous experience in yoga, or you would like to get back into yoga if you haven’t been to class in a while. The asanas taught in the class are basic standing, sitting, twists and restorative asanas to develop flexibility, strength, stamina and reduce stress.
  • Level 1

If you are a committed and regular practitioner of Iyengar yoga and have at least 1 year of experience, you are welcome to come to this class. You will learn the basics of inversions such as, Sirsasana (headstand), back bends and Pranayama. To improve your practice we suggest you come twice a week.

  • I have been a once-a-week yogi in Hatha/Ashtanga for many years. Managing back-bends, headstands, twists and other equally impressive poses, I thought myself rather clever. Then I attended an Iyengar yoga class at Yoga Space Tweed Heads. Apparently, my “style” was a poor representation of the original intention of yoga. I basically needed to start again. Fortunately, with Lynn’s perfect balance of firmness and nurture, my ego survived. I’ve increased my weekly attendance to twice a week and can feel the benefits. My confidence has returned and I’m looking forward to the upcoming Bali Retreat.

  • I have always been interested in yoga. I understand the physical and mental benefits to practising yoga, however the sheer physical effort in trying to “get into” some of the most basic poses was difficult. At Yoga Space Tweed Heads, they practise Iyengar Yoga. (I had never heard of it…Yoga is yoga..or so I thought.) Within minutes of Lynn guiding me through the poses, with the support of ropes, blankets, bolsters and blocks and with Lynn’s down to earth manner, I was feeling calm and confident. I left feeling relaxed and yet energetically charged at the same time. Thank you Lynn for your gracious, non-threatening teaching style.

  • What a wonderful 6 days I had with you. Thank you for a wonderful retreat – it was a tranquil and peaceful setting, just perfect for your nurturing of, and extension of my yoga practice. I feel I achieved some breakthroughs and hope to build on this. I certainly appreciate now that there is more to yoga than just doing asanas! The yummy food, the gentle Balinese people and a great group of people enhanced the whole experience. A high light was the visit to the Pura Tirta Empul temple. What memories.
    Thanks again
